Taiwanese Students Facing Mountains of Debt
Almost one million Taiwanese are still paying their student loans. The government has to allocate about about US$92.8 million of its annual budget to subsidize the interest on the loans. The financial challenge has become bigger for those students with debt who cannot find a job with sufficient salary. Students in many other nations are facing similar problems.

Pro-democratic Declaration Raises Different Opinions for Hong Kong
Pro-democracy politicians issued a declaration on April 21 affirming their stands regarding Hong Kong’s future. The declaration lays great emphasis on autonomy issue and calls for peaceful movements in Hong Kong. However, other parties, including the Demosistō, still hold concerns about the real effect of negotiations with the Beijing government.
