New Voluntary Guardian System in Taiwan States Guardians Do Not Need to be Blood Relatives
According to the existing guardian system, almost all guardians are children or relatives. The new system allows the elderly to choose their guardian when they are still sane. The candidates aren't limited to blood relatives and their rights and obligations are written in plain text, which may reduce family disputes and the burden of the society.

Kaohsiung to Launch Shared Electric Car System Inspired by Paris
On October 13, Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu signed a cooperation agreement with the promoter of the electric car sharing system, Bolloré Group, to welcome them to invest in Kaohsiung. She hopes that Kaohsiung can become the first city to develop a public electric car system in Taiwan.
