Taiwan and Japan In Dispute Over Fishing Grounds

After Taiwan and Japan signed the “Taiwan-Japan Fisheries Agreement” in 2013, there have been disputes and complaints from fishermen from both sides. Recently, local fishery groups in Japan have asked the Taiwan-Japan fishing area to be narrowed, raising strong protest from the Suao Fishermen’s Association.

HIV Patients Can Receive Organ Transplants Starting In March

Many developed countries such as the US, UK and Spain all permit HIV patients to receive organ transplants to increase their survival rate. Taiwan also plans to follow in these steps in March and aims to allow HIV patients to donate their organs to other HIV patients in the future.
