Eraldo S. Santos is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne. His doctoral research focuses on the history of the concept of "civil disobedience." He analyses how it was reformulated in the context of the revival of political obligation theories in the U.S. during the 1960s and 1970s. The project is funded by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES, Brazil).
