Rise and Shine, It's Time to Try Taiwan's Famous Breakfast Eateries

What you need to know
Good Eye Taipei’s recommendations for breakfast eateries to check out in Taipei.
In Taiwan, breakfast eateries are just as common as convenience stores and are the first stop of the day for many locals. Family-owned breakfast stands as well as breakfast chains selling sandwiches, burgers and beverages have been popping up since the 80s.
Their menus have also grown with time to include more Western-style items in addition to traditional Chinese fried dumplings and turnip cakes.
One of the most famous places to get breakfast is Fuhang Soy Milk, where a queue can be seen as early as 5 a.m. Others might prefer to start their day with flavors such as savory congee and thick pork noodle soup, which can be found in an alley in front of the Tsu Sheng Temple(慈聖宮).
With such a variety of breakfast places to choose from, Good Eye Taipei, a new bilingual Taipei city guide, recommends six locations to check out.
Weiding Egg Pancake (味鼎蛋餅)
(No.3, Lane 21, Longjiang Rd, Taipei City [台北市龍江路21巷3號])

Their crispy egg pancake is a customer favorite.
