Peggy Hsu - 2016 Dear Xmas / Dec. 24 / Riverside Live House, Ximen
Peggy Hsu (許哲珮) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter famous for her unique indie-pop and bossa nova, jazz-based style. It is her 11th year holding “Dear Xmas,” a Christmas concert that encourages audiences bringing gifts to share with others.

Solo Taiwan Theatre Company: Family Planning (說了台灣劇團:家庭計劃) / Dec. 23 – 25 / Chai Found Music Workshop, Taipei (采風樂坊)
Family Planning is a show looking at marriage equality issues. In the story, a lesbian couple and a gay couple are planning two unconventional straight marriages in the pretense of keeping up appearances. It is based on true stories from the LGBTQI community. In Taiwan, people who don’t love each other (and barely know each other) can get married, while those who are really in love do so in secret just because they are as same sex.

Shinzi Katoh 45th Anniversary Exhibition: Alice Games / Dec. 23 – Mar. 12 / Huashan 1914 Creative Park
Shinzi Katoh (加藤真治) is a famous Japanese illustrator known for his animals and fairytale characters. It has been 45 years since he first created his best-known character. Alice. Hundreds of his illustrations will be exhibited.
100 Years of Dutch Design / Nov. 15 – Feb. 19 / Songshan Cultural and Creative Park
The 100 Years of Dutch Design show aims to share the traditions of Dutch design with Taiwan. The exhibition walks you through the evolution of Dutch design and highlights the work of iconic Dutch designers such as Gerrit Rietveld, Gerard Kiljan, Willem Sandberg, and Anthon Beeke.
